Denver to Chicago day two

 searing headache

The plains of Iowa roll by

My head hurts

My mouth is dry

I have to pee

Why is there never enough water?

I spend most of this leg taking 30 minute naps. No regrets, not much scenery in the plains. 

We pull into Chicago only an hour late. Not bad. I make it to my cousin’s and pass out as soon as I can.

I’m meeting her boyfriend for the first time. He’s kind and smart. Perfect for Alanna. 

We catch up over dinner
